Princess Parties in Oklahoma: Ask a Princess – Why is Snow White Called Snow White?

Thank you so much for asking me a question!

My mother, the queen, accidently pricked her finger one day. Some blood fell on the snow. She immediately prayed this prayer: “Oh, how I wish that I had a daughter that had skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony.”

Then she had me. She knew that her prayers had been answered when she saw that my skin was very white, lips red, and my hair black. So she called me “Snow White.”

I love the name Snow because I love to play in the snow so much. I hope I can come to your birthday party sometime. Maybe it will even snow!

Ariel, what if King Tritan had not given you legs?  What do you think you would do?

I don’t know what I would do without Eric. He is all I think about. If daddy had not allowed me to have legs, I might have tried to ask him if he would give Eric fins! That would be fun. But I love to be on the land. There are tables and chairs, houses and castles, grass and trees, and clouds and sun. I love them so much.

The one thing I know I would NOT do is go back to Ursula. She was so mean. I am glad that she is gone.

I hope I can come to your princess party this year!!
